How you can make an impact

With your support, we can continue to provide our expert and compassionate palliative and end of life care, now and in years to come.

Hospice services are only part funded by the NHS – we need to raise a huge £8 million this year to ensure everyone continues to get the care they need.

Fundraising from events like Rainbow Rush makes a huge impact – by creating a sponsorship page, encouraging donations from your friends, family and colleagues you can make real change in your local community.

Make a difference, volunteer at our events

As a volunteer, you will play a vital part in assisting the Events Team in making sure that hospice fundraising events run smoothly on the day, ensuring that participants have a fantastic experience. You will also experience and play a valuable role in generating vital funds for the hospice through helping with raffles, games and bucket collections.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Some of our most asked questions

Can you tell me more about the Colour Stations and foam?

add remove

There are four colour stations along the 5km route, and two on the 2.5km route. The paint being thrown is made from dyed natural pigments and is not regarded as a health or environmental hazard under current legislation. If you have any allergies or concerns, please contact the Events Team using the details below. The paint can be dusted off after the event and will wash off after a shower (or two, depending on how colourful you get!). Foam can be an irritant, so we’d advise having a shower after the event. We make every effort to ensure paint doesn’t stain, but can’t guarantee this, so we’d recommend you wear old clothes and avoid getting it on other surfaces (e.g., car seats) just in case. It might also be a good idea to bring a change of clothes with you to change into for your journey home.

Don’t forget to order your Rainbow Rush t-shirt to wear with pride on the day!

You will get wet running through the foam tunnel so may wish to bring a towel and have a change of clothes available.

Do you have information on the event course?

add remove

The Rainbow Rush course will be packed full of colour-paint stations, a foam and dance tunnel, music, slides and other fun surprises. The course takes place entirely on grass across Cofton Park. Due to this, we reserve the right to make changes to the number and range of activities, depending on the terrain, weather and other circumstances to ensure your safety. However, we endeavour to make the event as fun as possible, come rain or shine!

Please note, part of the course is on a steep-ish hill. For more information about this, please contact the Events Team using the details below.

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the event arena.

Is there parking or local transportation?

add remove

There will be no car parking available in Cofton Park park, so we’d encourage you to use public transport, get a lift or car share where possible.

Parking is available on Lowhill Lane and on residential roads nearby but this may be limited and very busy – so please allow extra time for your journey and to walk to the event site in the park.

Please ensure you take note of any parking restrictions or guidance, and to always follow the highway code.

Longbridge is the nearest train station and the nearest bus routes are numbers:  20, 20A, 27.
