How you can make an impact

Birmingham Hospice isn't fully funded by the NHS - we need to raise a huge £8m this year to continue running our services.

The cost of your ticket helps us cover the event - but its your fundraising and sponsorship that makes the really big difference. Every pound you raise helps fund expert hospice care for people across the city.

Volunteer at events

A huge part of our events are our amazing volunteers. In fact, we can't put on events without them.

If you fancy helping on the day - either setting up the event, manning the drinks stall or registrations - we'd love to have you there.

The cost of care

We provide free care to people living in Birmingham and the surrounding areas who have been given a terminal diagnosis. We need to cover 42% of our costs through voluntary income, including fundraising, income from our shops and also donations. This is why we need you to take part in our events and fundraise as much as possible to help us make hospice care available for everyone who needs it.

£59

could pay for a bereavement support session to help families through the journey of grief.

£174

could pay for an Occupational Therapist to visit a patient at home, helping them be as independent as possible.

£556

could pay for 24 hours of nursing support in our Inpatient Units, offering specialist care from our team of compassionate nurses and healthcare assistants.

It costs

£6,307

to provide round-the-clock palliative care for a patient staying in our Inpatient Units.
